The Keep Illinois Beautiful annual meeting was held in Springfield on Wednesday, May 3. Thirteen Keep America Beautiful certified affiliate communities from Illinois were represented at the meeting. Code Compliance Manager David Oliver and Associate Planner Tina-Marie Ansong attended from Champaign. Barbara Runyon, Neighborhood Coordinator from the Village of Rantoul, also attended as a guest. Highlights from the meeting included attendees sharing various project successes from their respective communities. Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (ILEPA) reported they have suspended the 2017 ILEPA $6,000 entitlement grants due to the budget situation at the state level.
