Several lane closures are planned this week as part of Phase 2 of the West Washington Street Drainage Improvements Project. The lane closures include the following:
- The current northbound lane closure on Mattis Avenue will be extended until 12 noon, Thursday, April 27. At that time, the closed northbound lane on Mattis Avenue will be reopened to traffic.
In conjunction with the reopening of the northbound lane on Mattis Avenue, the following lane closures are also planned to start on Thursday, April 27:
- One southbound lane of Mattis Avenue between Glenn Park Drive and Springer Drive will be closed. Southbound traffic on Mattis Avenue will be merged into one lane through the construction zone.
- Westbound Glenn Park Drive will be closed west of Mattis Avenue. Westbound traffic on Glenn Park Drive will be shifted into the eastbound turning lane through the construction zone. Eastbound traffic on Glenn Park Drive will not be impacted by this closure.
- Eastbound Glenn Park Drive between Mattis Avenue and Victor Street will be closed at Victor Street. Local traffic on this leg of Glenn Park Drive will utilize Mattis Avenue as the entrance and exit during this closure.
The new lane closures listed above are planned to start on Thursday, April 27 and planned for completion on Friday, May 19, depending on weather.
