In October 2016, Police sought community assistance to identify individuals who were suspects in a battery that took place just prior to the fatal September 25 shooting in the 300 Block of E. Green St. After hundreds of hours of follow-up interviews and investigations, Detectives arrested the last suspect in this attack, helping to bridge resolve to the victims in this incident.
The nine suspects arrested for their involvement in the battery include:
- 18-year-old Sedrick Cooper;
- 20-year-old Wayne A. Colson;
- 20-year-old Johnnie M. Holbrook;
- 20-year-old Jeffrey Alexander-Jordan;
- 18-year-old Nevelle Booker;
- 19-year-old Taiviontae Gatson;
- 18-year-old Kejuan Carter;
- a 17-year-old male juvenile;
- and most recently, 20-year-old Korrion Taylor
