The five sidewalk kiosks located in Downtown, Midtown and Campustown will now display events promoted by Visit Champaign County (VCC). VCC will utilize one side of each kiosk leaving the other side available for the Center City Map and promotion of other events in the Center City. The use of the kiosks will still be coordinated with the Champaign Center Partnership. The information from VCC will be changed out every three months and will feature events happening in that timeframe. Since there are too many events to list, the ones that have most impact to the community (such as the Illinois Marathon) and the Center City will be highlighted. This new arrangement should allow better promotion of the community and more timely updates to the kiosks.
