In order to repair a damaged water hydrant, Illinois American Water Company will be closing a northbound lane of State Street, just south of Kirby Avenue. The closure will begin on Thursday, December 15, 2016, and will reopen on Monday, December 19, 2016, weather permitting. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the area.
