Police Investigate Shooting Incident – 300 Block of N. Third Street

On November 4th, at approximately 11:38 PM, Champaign Police responded to the 300 Block of N. Third Street after receiving multiple reports of shots being fired.  Preliminary evidence suggests that a dispute took place during a house party, and later resulted in both of the involved individuals shooting at each other, striking three subjects who were at the party.

A 17-year-old female was transported to a local hospital with a serious injury resulting from a gunshot wound.  After the officers arrived on-scene, a 46-year-old Danville man arrived at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  A short time later, officers were advised that a 23-year old Urbana man had arrived at a Danville hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound, which is believed to have occurred during this incident.

One of the suspects is described as:

Black male

Late 20’s

5’9”; medium build

Hair in dreadlocks

Wearing a red shirt
