The Keep Champaign Beautiful committee conducted the annual litter index survey on Friday, October 28. The litter index is one of the requirements to maintain certification with Keep America Beautiful. Committee members Nichole Millage, David Oliver, Tina-Marie Ansong, Karen Foster, and Phil Burke participated in the survey. Results will be tabulated by the Planning and Development Department, but overall it appeared litter was reduced throughout the areas surveyed. There were, however, still some concerns along major arterial streets in the commercially zoned areas.
