In order to repair an asphalt street, the Public Works Department will close the eastbound lane of John Street between Chicago Avenue and Russell Street, and the westbound lane of John Street between Chicago Avenue and Edwin Street. This work will continue on Monday, September 12 at 8:00 a.m. and is planned to be completed and reopened to traffic by 4:00 p.m.
Through traffic will not be allowed in the work zone; however residents will have access to their driveways. Travelers in the area are encouraged to use Green Street to avoid the closures. The City appreciates the cooperation of travelers in the area and encourages caution when traveling near work zones.
