Dobbins Downs Block Party
On Thursday, August 25, the Neighborhood Services Department, in collaboration with the Champaign Park District, hosted the fourth and final block party of the summer in the Dobbins Downs Neighborhood. The event included performances by the CUperStars, DJ music by Fireman Phil, face painting, action inflatables, and food. The series of block parties are funded with support from the Neighborhood Services Department Coordination Division Neighborhood Small Grant Program. The block parties are designed to be neighborhood connection events that promote engagement, and connection to resources for underserved areas of our community. This is a collaborative effort that includes The City of Champaign’s Neighborhood Services Department, Champaign Park District, CUperStars and other community partners as needed.
