Environmental Inspector Kim Burnett investigated a complaint on May 24 regarding overgrown bushes blocking a public sidewalk at the intersection of Southwood and Stratford Drive. Burnett verified the bushes not only were blocking pedestrian access to the sidewalk but were also creating a site triangle visibility issue at the intersection. A notice was issued to the property owner with an abatement date of June 7. On June 3, the property owner contacted Burnett for some clarifications and indicated they would be in town that weekend to take care of violation. On June 6, the property owner contacted Burnett to inform her everything was corrected. Burnett verified the violations were abated and the nuisance case was able to be closed to compliance.
