The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) previously announced to the Urbana HOME Consortium that the FY 2016/17 entitlement grant for the HOME program would be $637,772. However, HUD recently announced that the HOME grant amount was incorrect and the new Urbana HOME Consortium grant increased to $641,206.
This means a slight increase to the City of Champaign (final amount not yet determined, but less than $2,000). This change will be included in a budget amendment needed to also accept program income and prior uncommitted funds in the amount of $322,738 identified by the City of Urbana and soon to be released to the partner agencies (Champaign County, City of Champaign, City of Urbana).
