Police Seek Suspect in Shooting Investigation, 1500 Block of Holly Hill Dr.

Champaign Police are seeking the whereabouts of 37-year-old Peter L. Campbell, in association with the shooting investigation of a Champaign woman.

Today at approximately 1:39 PM, Police responded to the 1500 Block of Holly Hill Drive for a shots fired report where a 35-year-old female victim was found responsive, but suffering from a serious gunshot wound.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting is the result of a domestic dispute between Campbell and the victim.

Campbell, pictured here in two photos, was last seen on foot headed Northbound from Hedge Road towards Joanne Lane in Champaign.

Campbell is described as being 5’9”, approximately 165 pounds, with brown eyes and dark braided hair.  He has tattoos on his upper left arm and on his right forearm, including one tattoo that reads as “Chip” and another tattoo as “Lavonda 44”.
A warrant was issued this afternoon for Campbell’s arrest on charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.  Bond is set at $150,000.
