On Monday, May 30, there was a fire at one of the Town Center Apartment buildings. The fire heavily damaged the entire building rendering it unfit for human habitation. The Fire Department contacted the Code Compliance Division on Tuesday, May 31 to request that the building be “Condemned for Occupancy.” Property Maintenance Inspector Tim Spear assessed the building from the exterior and issued an immediate Condemnation Notice. A “Condemned for Occupancy” placard was placed on the front of the building. The property manager stated that the property would be secured and fenced by the time the fire department released the scene to him.
