Champaign Police Conduct Death Investigation
On October 1, 2015 at 10:04 PM, Champaign Police responded to the 300 Block of S. Country Fair Dr. for a shots fired report. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 21-year-old male, later identified as Kendell Adams, deceased with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Preliminary investigations suggest this was a self-inflicted accidental shooting.
Champaign Police are continuing to investigate and ask that if anyone has information regarding this incident to please call the Investigations Division at (217) 351-4545 or Crime Stoppers at (217) 373-8477.
Champaign Police reminds citizens that information submitted to Crime Stoppers is anonymous. Calls are routed to a third-party national call center that receives your information, completes a tips information form, and then passes the information to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
