A contract for demolition of the abandoned home and garage located at 909 W Beardsley was signed and a Notice to Proceed issued to the contractor. The property has been in disrepair for the past several years. In April 2015, the Legal Department issued a 30-day Notice to Remediate as part of an expedited demolition process. No one who had interest in the property stepped forward, which in turn allowed the City to proceed with the demolition process. The project should be completed near the end of June.
