In order to perform an emergency repair on a water main, Illinois American Water has closed two northbound lanes of Prospect Avenue between Springfield Avenue and White Street. One lane of northbound traffic and one lane of southbound traffic are being maintained in the area. The lane closure began on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 and will reopen on Saturday morning, March 21, 2015. These lanes will be reopened ahead of the electric project of Ameren Illinois (two northbound lanes of Prospect Avenue between Green Street and Armory Avenue).
