Sewer Maintenance to Bring Lane Closures on Prospect Avenue

SEWER MAINTENANCE TO BRING LANE CLOSURES ON PROSPECT AVENUE

(BETWEEN WASHINGTON ST. AND BLOOMINGTON RD.)

In order to perform routine storm sewer maintenance on Prospect Ave. between Washington St. and Bloomington Rd., the City’s contractor, National Power Rodding Corp., will require various lane closures. The maintenance work is scheduled daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday, February 2 through Friday, February 20, weather permitting. The contractor will reduce southbound traffic to one lane through the work zone. The contractor will design the work zone lane closure to be no more than two blocks long at any given time. The maintenance will occur in the daytime on weekdays only. Evening travel occurring after 4:00 p.m. will not be affected. Inclement weather or winter road conditions may postpone or delay this work. Maintenance of sewers located within the intersections of Bradley Ave. and Bloomington Rd. will be scheduled for midday outside of normal traffic rush hours.

The City appreciates the cooperation of the public as this work is completed. The public is encouraged to obey all construction signs or plan alternative routes to avoid this work. Minor traffic delays may be encountered due to this project.
