On Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at approximately 1:02 P.M., the Champaign Police Department responded to the report of a 17-year-old Champaign man who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
As the investigation progressed, a Champaign County arrest warrant was issued for Actavious D. Crockett for the offense of Armed Violence with a bond of $750,000 in connection with this incident.
On January 5, 2015, the Champaign Police Department received information from the community indicating Actavious Crockett was at a residence in Rantoul, Illinois.
With the assistance of the Rantoul Police Department, Actavious Crockett was arrested without incident and transported to the Champaign County Correctional Center. The Champaign Police Department is appreciative of the assistance from both the community and the Rantoul Police Department.
