In order to facilitate a fiberoptic crossing at Fourth Street and Chalmers Street, PEG Bandwidth and Direct Line Communications will be closing the northbound lane of Fourth Street between Armory Street and Chalmers Street. The lane closure will begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 7 a.m. and will re-open by Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 6 p.m. The intersections of Fourth/Armory and Fourth/Chalmers will remain open. Access to local properties will be maintained via Armory Street, but no northbound through traffic will be allowed. Southbound Fourth Street traffic will remain open throughout this project.
