EXTENDED – 2014 CHAMPAIGN URBANA INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN AWARDS
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The Cities of Champaign and Urbana have extended the nomination deadline and will continue to accept nominations for the 12th Annual Champaign Urbana International Humanitarian Awards. Award recipients will be honored Thursday, September 25, 2014, at I Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 S. First Street, Champaign at 5:45 p.m.
The purpose of the International Humanitarian Awards is:
- to honor individuals whose work has contributed significantly to international understanding, cooperation, friendship and development;
- to recognize the richness of Champaign County’s international contributions, concerns and commitments in the following categories: agriculture, hospitality, humanitarian relief, human rights, research/education and trade and business; and
- to educate the public about the connections which exist between our local community and the global community.
All nominations must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Nominations should be submitted in writing, not to exceed three (3) double-spaced typed pages and mailed to: C-U International Humanitarian Awards, Champaign Community Relations Office, 102 North Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820.
