Starting Monday, March 17, weather permitting, the Champaign Township Highway Department will CLOSE Kirby Avenue to all traffic between Holmstrom Drive and Cobblefield Road to remove and replace a section of failed pavement on Kirby Avenue adjacent to the bridge over the Copper Slough drainage ditch.
Champaign Township expects Kirby Avenue will be closed from Monday, March 17, 2014, to Friday, March 28, 2014. Traffic will be directed to use Staley Road, Windsor Road, and Springfield Avenue. Mobile message boards are currently in place on Kirby Avenue to provide advance notification of the road closure.
