Boneyard Creek Restoration Given Accolades

A new case study of Boneyard Creek has been published to the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s award-winning Landscape Performance Series!

This unique online database now includes over 75 exemplary landscape projects with quantified environmental, economic, and social benefits. The impact of Boneyard Creek, the Second Street Basins and Scott Park, was assessed and documented through LAF’s innovativeCase Study Investigation (CSI) program, a unique research collaboration among faculty researchers, designers, and students. Hitchcock Design Group nominated the project for LAF’s CSI program and worked closely with Jinki Kim, UIUC Landscape Architecture Assistant Professor and John Whalen, UIUC Graduate Student, who both conducted the research, in cooperation with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, and Eleanor Blackmon, City of Champaign Assistant Engineer.
