On February 17, 2014 at approximately 1:50 PM, the Champaign Police Department Narcotics Unit arrested Mario S. Burden, 30, of Champaign for Possession with Intent to Deliver over 500 grams of cannabis, a class 3 felony. Burden was arrested in the 2500 block of West Springfield Avenue, Champaign.
The Champaign Police Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of Patrol, served a search warrant at a residence in the Country Brook Apartment complex in the 2500 block of West Springfield Avenue, Champaign. During the service of this warrant, officers seized over 500 grams of cannabis and over $10,000 in cash. Burden was arrested and transported to the Champaign County Jail.
