108 E. John – CFD Fire Information Report

Narrative: The Champaign Fire Department responded to a report of fire coming out of the first floor wall of the building west of 110 E. John St. Fire Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the southeast corner of 108 E. John St. The fire was found in a small one-story addition. A hand line was deployed and the fire was quickly extinguished. Additional crews searched the rest of the building and ventilated the smoke. Ten occupants who evacuated the building were allowed back into the building once it was cleared by fire personnel. There were no injuries.
