The Champaign Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team has been awarded $1,000 from Illinois American Water Company to purchase foam application distribution devices. These devices are critical to the fire department’s efforts to upgrade fire department’s equipment. The addition of this equipment will allow the fire department to adequately supply two elevated streams for foam application on Alcohol/Hydrocarbon based fires in large fuel storage facilities.
