In order to accommodate construction traffic at 2307 Sangamon Drive (Leonhard Recreational Center), Champaign Park District will be closing a section of Sangamon Drive just east of Kenwood Road. Sangamon Drive will be closed from Kenwood Road to the Sholem Pool parking lot starting on Monday, September 30, 2013, through Friday, October 25, 2013. The road will be closed on working days from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Anticipating congested school traffic in the area, the Champaign Park District, Champaign Unit 4 Schools, and the City of Champaign have coordinated on the attached map. The public is encouraged to follow this traffic plan.
