Volunteers Provide Thousands of Hours of Service to the Library

This past year, volunteers provided 12,450 hours of service to the Library. These generous community members helped with cleaning, opened boxes, data entry, provided computer assistance to library users, and delivered books to homebound individuals, among other tasks. 

Students in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) are among the volunteers each year, with some earning class credit through practicums. 

In the past two years, 37 GSLIS students completed practicums and 46 students provided volunteer help, for a total of 6,286 hours of service to the Library.
