IDOT has informed the Public Works Department that sometime during the week of September 3–6, 2013, IDOT will have a contractor performing pavement crack routing and sealing work on Springfield Avenue, between Prospect Avenue and Mattis Avenue, and on University Avenue, starting at Wright Street and extending to Race Street in Urbana. The routing and sealing work is a moving operation involving lane closures and flaggers for traffic control. Side street intersections will be temporarily shut off as the moving operation goes by. IDOT anticipates the work taking no longer than two to three days.
