The Illinois Department of Transportation, Region 3/District 5, has announced the southbound right-turn lane on Wright Street (US 45/US 150) on the north side of the Springfield Avenue intersection will need to be closed for a pavement patch beginning Monday, August 12, 2013. It is anticipated the work will be completed by Wednesday, August 14, 2013, weather permitting.
Both directions of travel on Wright Street will remain open at all times; however, flaggers will be present during hours of operation and lanes will be narrowed to accommodate construction equipment. Motorists should expect delays.
Local traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the intersection.
Motorists are reminded to reduce speeds in work zones and to be alert for workers and machinery.
