On July 9, 2013 at approximately 10:23 AM Champaign Police arrested Kentrell L. McFarland (20) of 608 E. Vine, Champaign. McFarland was arrested in the 600 block of W. Killarney in Urbana. Champaign Police Detectives were continuing their investigation into the recent shootings, and were attempting to locate an individual when they observed McFarland involved in an apparent drug transaction. During this investigation, McFarland was found in possession of approximately 48 grams of suspected heroin.
