Foreclosure filings through March of 2013 are now reported. The chart below outlines the activity over the past few years.
To date, an average of 5.67 foreclosures have been filed. RealtyTrac states one in every 239 Illinois housing units received a foreclosure filing in March of 2013. Champaign County is considered low risk on their indicator chart as one in every 5,109 housing units received a foreclosure notice in March. Staff will continue to monitor City of Champaign filings to assess the impact on the community.
