On May 10, 2013 the Champaign Police Department was dispatched to 309 E. Green for a report of an individual who had fallen from the building. Upon arrival officers located a female on the sidewalk with obvious major injuries. Medical personnel responded to the scene and the individual was later pronounced dead by the Champaign County Coroner. The Champaign Police Department and the Champaign County Coroner’s Office are conducting an investigation surrounding the circumstances of this death. At this point in the investigation there are no indications of any foul play. The identify of victim is not being released at this time, pending notification of family members by the Champaign County Coroner’s Office.
