Officer Kristina Haugen along with her K-9 Solo gave a K-9 demonstration during the Champaign County Humane Society’s Mutt Strut Event at Hessel Park on May 4, 2013.
Officer Ben Newell conducted a tour of the Police Department to Cub Scout Pack 11 on May 6, 2013. During this time, Officer Newell got the opportunity to speak with the scouts about police work and was able to show them some of the equipment a police officer may use.
