The Human Resources Department sponsored another successful Employee Benefits and Wellness Fair on February 7, 2013. Approximately 150 City employees and retirees attended, interacted with various vendors, learned about the benefits available to City employees, and registered for raffle prizes donated by the City’s vendors.
At the Fair, Provena Covenant Medical Center, Carle Foundation Hospital, and Christie Clinic were on hand to conduct health screenings, including fasting or nonfasting cholesterol and glucose screens. Various vendors throughout the Champaign-Urbana area participated to provide valuable information about health promotion programs, disease management resources, and other efforts to encourage good health and wellness to City employees.
