West Vine Street Neighborhood Cleanup/Meet and Greet

On Saturday, November 10, Colleen Madera, Neighborhood Services Secretary, and David Oliver, Code Compliance Manager assisted John Ruffin, Neighborhood Coordinator by manning the West Vine Street’s Neighborhood Cleanup/Meet and Greet from 9-12 pm. About 10-12 neighbors came out to talk, meet and find out more about the newly formed neighborhood group. City staff also assisted some neighbors in their cleanup efforts to dispose of unwanted items in the roll off dumpster provided by Neighborhood Coordination. Councilmember Marci Dodds also stopped by to speak with the neighbors. The STAR Tool Lending Library was also on hand towards the end of the event and some of the residents took advantage of the tools to help clean up their yards. The neighbors were also encouraged to come out and attend the next neighborhood group meeting on Wednesday, November 28 at 6 pm at the Salvation Army on North Prospect.
