The Community Coalition sponsored a Police and Community Dialogue on October 18 at Columbia School. The speaker, Dr. Michael Schlosser of the Police Training Institute, gave a presentation on citizens’ rights and responsibilities. An open dialogue between local law enforcement and community members followed the presentation. This event which is aimed at improving the relations between community members and local law enforcement was attended by members of the Champaign Police Department, Urbana Police Department, Champaign County Sheriff’s Office and the University of Illinois Police Department.
