The renewal of the three-year ESRI GIS Enterprise license was approved by City Council Tuesday. This license now gives the City of Champaign access to ArcGIS Online which allows for the expanded development of our online map services. The first phase of this development is an interactive map gallery displaying a number of interactive maps that the City has created. In addition to this, ArcGIS Online has allowed us to start developing several maps in Javascript which are able to be viewed on iOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad, a feature that was previously unavailable.
