The 32nd episode of “Champaign Connection” debuted September 1st and will run on CGTV thru the end of October.

  • Jonathan Westfield (School Resource Officer) and Dave Tomlinson (Fire Engineer) share back-to-school safety tips for parents, children, and Champaign Connectionmotorists. Learn important information about school zones, stranger-danger, and fire and accident prevention.
  • David Oliver (Code Compliance Manager) explains how the Neighborhood Services Department works to promote clean, livable neighborhoods. Learn tips about being a good neighbor, and the steps the City sometimes has to take when residents don’t follow the rules.
  • Joan Walls (Deputy City Manager for Community Relations) and Champaign ConnectionPatrick East (Webmaster) discuss the new technologies the City is using to keep residents and visitors better informed. Find out why social media is now a critical way to keep informed about City government and how you can easily “follow” the City of Champaign.

Champaign Connection is an award-winning 30-minute news magazine which helps the City better communicate with its residents. The show airs on CGTV (Comcast channel 5 and U-verse channel 99) nightly at 6:30 PM. The show is also available on-demand on the City’s website at ci.champaign.il.us/cgtv. Champaign Connection is produced by the Information Technologies Department with input from the Communications Advisory Committee.
