2012 Neighborhood Paving Project

The 2012 Neighborhood Paving Project is an annual project that paves aging City street pavements by overlaying them with new layers of asphalt. This prolongs the life of the pavement and provides for a smoother riding surface. This project concentrates work on asphalt surfaced neighborhood residential streets.

Beginning Monday, September 10, 2012, Cross Construction Company will begin work on the neighborhood bounded by Kirby Avenue, Sheridan Drive, Kenwood Road, and Centennial Drive. The work will consist of milling off a portion of the existing surface and paving one or two layers of new asphalt. There will be intermittent lane closures throughout the construction period, however one lane in each direction will be open at all times. Access to driveways will be open at all times. Work is expected to take two to three weeks to complete.
