Varsity Striping Company will start work on the Annual Pavement Marking Contract on Thursday, August 30, 2012. This year’s contract will replace all long lines (centerlines, lane lines, shoulder lines) on concrete streets throughout the City. All streets will remain open to traffic with short term temporary lane closures as needed. The final completion date for this project is November 1, 2012. The work will be completed as a moving operation. Marking material is applied to the pavement through equipment attached to the work trucks driving along the street; the vehicles also have arrow boards and warning lights informing drivers to change lanes and/or slow down.
