Two Redevelopment Proposals Received for North Street and Hickory Street Parcels

The City recently issued a Request for Proposals to develop five City-owned parcels at the southeast corner of North and Hickory Streets, just north of downtown. The parcels were initially acquired for a future phase of the Boneyard Creek project. It has since been determined that the Boneyard Creek project can be accommodated on other City-owned parcels in the area and that these parcels could be opened to redevelopment.

Two proposals were received in response to that request. Both propose introducing artist studios and residential uses to the site. The proposals are currently under review by a representative of the Beardsley Park neighborhood and staff from the Planning and Neighborhood Services Departments. Once that review is complete, staff will seek City Council direction on the specific proposals.
