Annual Alley Maintenance
As part of the City’s Annual Alley Maintenance Project the alley in the block bounded by University Avenue, Elm Street, Clark Street and Lynn Street will be reconstructed. Beniach Construction will begin work on the alley Monday July 9, 2012.
The reconstruction will be done in multiple phases to accommodate as much access to adjoining properties as possible. The alley will be closed to thru traffic.
The purpose of this project is to replace the deteriorated alley pavement and improve storm water drainage within the alley. This project will consist of removal and replacement of all alley pavement, alley entrance pavement, removal and replacement of adjacent sidewalk as necessary, and removal and replacement of curb and gutter as necessary.
