Five proposals were submitted in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the City to seek a developer for the Lot J parking lot in Campustown. An evaluation committee made up of staff, a Campustown business owner, and representatives from the Plan Commission and University of Illinois has met twice to consider the strengths and weaknesses of each proposal and to rate them based on the criteria identified in the RFP. Representatives from the top three proposals will be invited to an interview with the evaluation committee in July, and the committee will forward its recommendation to City Council at a study session in August.
