Market Street Corridor Project: Public Meeting

At 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 the City held a public meeting at the Champaign Main Library. The meeting’s purpose was to talk to people about the Market Street’s proposed physical changes from Kenyon Road to Ford Harris Road. The meeting was an open house style format with 13 display boards. These display boards presented the information in a visual manner. This made it easy for attendees to easily understand the information.

35 people attended the meeting. Engineering and Planning Staff walked up to each person to answer questions and get their input on the project. Those who attended said they were notified about the meeting from the postcard they received in the mail from the City. Comment cards were also available to those who wished to write their comments. Foth Engineering, the project consultant, also attended and assisted with the meeting.
